I am a teacher in the Ministry of Education. Do I have to submit a claim for maternity allowance?

A teacher who worked in the Ministry of Education, in a permanent position, does not need to submit a claim for maternity allowance or for the payment of differentials. The National Insurance Institute is handed over the maternity allowance claim by the Ministry of Education automatically. However, you must see to it that the school secretariat or director have actually reported the birth to the Ministry's regional agency of your place of residence.
